Administation Communication 03/26/2021

Dear Emmanuel Family,

This school year has come with many challenges and changes. We have appreciated your support and grace as we have navigated the many different guidelines and requirements set forth by the CDC, ODH, and CCCHD. Moving forward, Emmanuel will begin following the newest guidelines on a trial basis:

If students or adults were exposed to COVID-19 within the classroom setting, they may continue to attend in-person school and ECA affiliated sports and extra-curricular activities if the following guidelines are met (Ohio Department of Health, March 2021):

  • The exposure occurred within a classroom environment or while on required school transport (e.g. school bus)

  • The person with COVID-19 and any associated contacts were wearing face masks that covered their nose and mouth at all times.

  • Distancing between students is maximized in classroom and other settings, ideally a 6-foot distance, but 3 feet is acceptable.

  • They remain symptom free

Please read the detailed Face Sheet of the guidelines from the ODH in the provided link:

Parents/guardians will still be contacted by the school nurse if an exposure occurred within the classroom. The exposed individual should follow normal quarantine protocols when not in the classroom or extra-curricular activity. Parents/guardians may choose to have their child quarantine for 10 to 14 days if desired.

We have had a great time with “Right To Read Week” for the Elementary, and ESM Day for the 7th - 12th grade. These activities support the school mission as well as our “Expected Student Outcomes” by providing an outlet for our students to be enriched academically, spiritually and socially through experiences that are fun and that foster growth and community within our student body.

We would like to express to you how wonderful it has been to have the majority of our student population back in the building. We are thankful for the opportunity to educate and minister to our students. As our staff, teachers, and students take a week away from the building, we encourage you to spend some intentional family time before you child returns on April 6th. The last six weeks of school will quickly pass as the end of the school year approaches. We thank you once again for your continued support.

Blessings,

Dan Moore, Building Principal
John Essig, Superintendent.
