Junior High and High School students in grades 7-10 will be taking the Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment. These assessments measure your child's instructional level and academic growth in the areas of Mathematics, Reading and Language Usage.
The data from these assessments help your child's teacher(s) ensure that they are meeting your child's academic needs. Below you will find the testing schedule.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL CLASSES WILL RUN ON A TWO HOUR DELAY SCHEDULE ON TESTING DAYS (ONLY) FOR GRADES 7 THROUGH 12
Juniors, Seniors and Homeschooled students do not take the MAP Assessment. They do not need to arrive until 10:00AM. See below for the 2-Hour Delay Schedule
Junior High and High School Testing Schedule (GRADES 7 - 10)
Monday, September 27th - Reading
Tuesday, September 28th - Mathematics
Friday, October 1st - Language Usage
Makeups - Scheduled as needed
Any student who does not finish his/her test during the scheduled class time will have the opportunity to complete it during the makeup time.
AS 120, AS 237, AS 235, and Introduction to unmanned Systems will follow their normal schedule with class beginning at 8:00AM (see separate email for additional information).
HOW CAN YOU HELP YOUR STUDENT ON TEST DAYS?
Pray with your student!
Make sure your student gets a good night’s sleep and eats a healthy breakfast.
Make sure your student arrives to school on time.
Remind your student that his/her best is good enough!
