Dear Parents and Guardians
The county continues to see an uptick in the number of positive COVID-19 cases. We are now aware that Emmanuel is being affected to a larger degree across the elementary and secondary levels. Our goal remains to provide the best environment for our teachers and for our students.
Because of the information that we have received over the past 24 hours, we are making the decision for the following:
TK - 12th Grade will go remote this week. All will follow the remote learning schedule found HERE
The building will be accessible from 7:00AM - 6:00PM on Monday and Tuesday so that parents or students can retrieve any items needed from their lockers for remote learning
All athletic and fine arts activities have been called off this week, and we will re-evaluate once we are given additional information. This includes school sports, Jr. Lions Cheer and Lions Phenoms.
We will take an extended break the week of Thanksgiving and will NOT hold school on Monday (11/23) or Tuesday (11/24)
We will plan on returning to a traditional school environment on Monday, November 30th
We believe this gives us the best opportunity to return to school after our Thanksgiving Break. We encourage you to have your child or yourself tested if you show signs or symptoms. Please update our school nurse, Keri Faust with all COVID-19 situations. Our staff and teachers will be available to answer any questions.
Please pray for our administration, teachers and staff as we continue to pray for our families. Thank you for managing these changes and for your continued cooperation!
In Christ,
Dan Moore, Building Principal
John Essig, Superintendent
