Dear Emmanuel Family,
We are nearing the end of February and hopefully heading into some warmer weather. We are thankful for our families and continue to look forward to March 1 with our junior high and high school students coming back to the building full time.
The school’s original plan was to return the 7 - 12th grade to a four-day week with “Workday Wednesdays” and then to five days starting on March 15. Our slower phased approach in conjunction with Hybrid has allowed us the opportunity to realize that we not need a “Workday Wednesday” once the students are back in the building on March 1. Therefore, we are revising our plan to return to a “normal” five-day school week for all students TK - 12th Grade on March 1.
Many of our staff received first round vaccinations and are now scheduled for second round vaccinations on March 11 and 13. The second round has shown to have additional side effects and districts in our county are preparing in advance for those scenarios. For planning purposes, Emmanuel is going to pre-announce a remote learning day for March 11.
This year has been challenging with many different shifts and moves. We are extremely thankful for our families, students, teachers, and staff as we have all endured these challenges and remained steadfast in pursuit of our mission. We are praying for a smooth and fulfilling finish of the school year on May 14.
Blessings,
Dan Moore, Building Principal
John Essig, Superintendent
