Which of these statements are true?
There are plenty of leaders in the world who have seemed noble and inspiring, but who have failed us.
Who people are as leaders is more important than how they lead, and good leaders avoid narrow-mindedness.
To be godly leaders, we need to remember that we are made in God’s image, are creatures of body and spirit, have purpose, and that God’s creation is our home.
Can you think of a leader who has been manipulative? Describe him or her without using names.
Would you agree with the idea that who we are is more important than how we lead? How have you seen that principle play out in real life? Describe a situation or illustrate it.
Read 1 Peter 2:9 (see above). What does this verse have to say about our identities as leaders?

Gen. 1:27 says, “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” The chapter goes on to say that God gave Adam and Eve real authority to steward the world He had made and to make it more fruitful.

What does it reveal about our purpose in this world?
