Dear ECA Family,
Our thoughts and prayers continue for our ECA family as we all walk through this together. What a beautiful afternoon! We have worked through several stages of making sure we comply with the Governor’s orders while understanding that his office and the Department of Education have been clear that we need to continue to educate and be accessible to our families. I commend our teachers and staff for the transition that we have made. Please communicate with them. They are available to help and to resource.
We have determined that we are well within the guidelines to offer a “drop off and pick up” day for academic materials to continue the learning process. While we can certainly email packets to families for students, it is equally important to receive the work back that has been completed so our teachers know how to assess, correct, and guide students in the learning process.
So, there are two options:
Scan and send your work completed to your teacher and complete the work that your teacher sends to you. (If you are receiving and returning all provided work online or in a Google classroom, there is no need to pick up/drop off. Please continue to work through this with your teachers.)
Or use the Pick up/Drop off process below (Please do not stop in to pick up work at another time without arranging this with the front office)
The pick up day will be on Wednesday, April 1 from 3:00PM - 6:00PM
Last Names A-G: 2:00PM - 3:00PM
Last Names H-M: 3:00PM - 4:00PM
Last Names N-Z: 4:00PM - 6:00PM (or others that couldn’t make it during last name slot)
Procedure:
Please arrange the work together and put in a folder, envelope or paper clip together
If you put in a bag, please make sure it is a paper bag (no plastic)
Please make sure to clearly note the name and grade of the student
Please follow the cones - Pick up will circle around the back of the parking lot by the baseball field and around to the garage
Please stay in your car. We will take your packet and provide you with the next packet.
We will not be able to answer direct questions about the school work itself at that time but will help connect you to your teacher.
Any other effort to pick up and drop off work must be prearranged. We are limiting this material to the cafeteria.
I want to let you know that we miss seeing your children and are praying for you. Rick Herring has sent out several emails about our “Care Team”. This team is set up and people are ready to help. We certainly hope that we are able to get back to school soon. Please know that I am available via email or call if there is a question I can answer. You may text as well to 937-605-6993.
Lastly, I have included our building hours for next week below for your reference. We will have someone to answer your phone calls and answer the door if needed. We are still working under the premise that we are an essential business and will have hours that teachers can access their rooms and that the administrative staff will be working on a staggered plan under the Governor’s restrictions.
