Emmanuel Family,
Thank you for responding to our recent survey. To date, 180 people have participated. Your input and feedback are extremely important to us.
We are studying the survey results, participating in meeting with the Clark County Superintendents and the Health Department, and receiving updated guidance as we refine our back to school plan. Our goal is to send it to you by July 31st.
We will offer a remote learning mode for those who prefer this option for grades TK-12. Details on what that will look like for each grade level are forthcoming. Families will have to determine on a quarter-by-quarter basis whether they are remote or in the building. They cannot do both in the same quarter. Remote learning will be available for those potentially quarantined for whatever reason.
Two date related items:
The first day of school is now set for August 24th (an improvised plan for back to school open houses will be announced soon)
We will hold a “virtual town hall” meeting August 6th at 6PM. We will review the key elements of the Return to School Safely Plan and then open up for questions
Please be assured that we are preparing for multiple options, and we know that some families need their children in school and others believe having children at home is best. We are preparing to serve both.
Please continue to pray for the Emmanuel Family. Ask the Lord to guide individuals, families and the school in every decision. I am encouraged to find God’s perfect will in this situation, that appears sometimes, to have no “right answers”. Romans, 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Blessings,
Pastor John Essig
Superintendent
