Several weeks ago, we looked forward to Thanksgiving and were confident in a full return to school after Thanksgiving Break. Unfortunately, having been affected by COVID-19 the past two weeks, we find ourselves in a difficult situation.

Important Administration Announcement Regarding COVID-19
The county continues to see an uptick in the number of positive COVID-19 cases. We are not aware that Emmanuel is being affected to a larger degree across the elementary and secondary levels. Our goal remains to provide the best environment for our teachers and for our students.

Our administration and teachers have taken some additional time to collaborate and discuss issues and concerns with the upcoming Thanksgiving break, as well as continue to be mindful of the COVID-19 crisis and how we should appropriately respond. It is hard to believe that we are reaching the end of October. Although we have had to work through many challenges, we are pleased with how the school year is going to date. Our teachers and staff continue to work hard through every obstacle that has been placed in front of them. We know that you, as parents, have had obstacles as well.
